Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Shower Challenge is built to work without collecting your personal information. There are no user accounts, and we do not operate any servers that store your shower history, challenge progress, or streaks. Everything is processed and saved locally on your device.

Data used on your device

Shower Challenge accesses the following information solely to run the app's core features. None of it is transmitted to us or to any third party.

DataHow it's used
Shower timer & historyRecorded locally so you can see today's shower time and past results
Challenge selectionStored on your device to remember which challenge you're currently following
Streaks & badgesCalculated from your local timer history to show your progress
Notifications (optional)Used only to remind you about your challenge, if you turn them on

Sharing & nominating friends

When you choose to share a badge or streak, Shower Challenge opens your device's native share sheet. We don't access your contacts, and we don't see or collect what you share or who you send it to — that entire exchange happens between you and your phone's own sharing tools.

What we do not do

Some of our roadmap — like optional community leaderboards or organization dashboards for schools and NGOs — may introduce new, clearly-opt-in data practices in the future. If that happens, this policy will be updated before those features launch, and the "Last updated" date at the top will change.

Children's privacy

Shower Challenge does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The app has no account system, so no personal information is collected from any user regardless of age.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll post the revised version at this URL with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
