How do I start and stop the timer?
Tap Start timer the moment you step in and the water is turned on. When you're done and the water's off, tap Stop timer. Your shower time is saved to that day's results automatically.
How do challenges work?
Pick a challenge from the Select a challenge screen to set your focus for the week — anything from a simple time goal to one of our themed community challenges like Earth Month or the Summer Water Challenge. You can switch challenges any time.
What are streaks and badges?
Every day you finish a shower under your challenge's target, it counts toward your streak. Hitting milestones — your first streak, your longest one, a full themed challenge — unlocks badges you can view on your results screen.
How do I invite a friend or share my progress?
Tap the share icon on your results screen to open your phone's native share sheet and send your streak or badge to a friend however you like — text, email, or social apps. Shower Challenge doesn't access your contacts or collect any information when you do this.
Can I reset my progress?
Yes. Go to Settings → Reset Progress to clear your streaks and history and start fresh. This can't be undone, so make sure it's what you want before confirming.
Do I need an account?
No. Shower Challenge works without creating an account — your timer history, streaks, and badges are all stored locally on your device.
Does Shower Challenge track my location or personal data?
No. Shower Challenge doesn't collect personal information or track your location. Everything you do in the app stays on your device. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
The timer doesn't seem accurate — what should I check?
Make sure the app stays open (or notifications are enabled) while your timer is running, since the app needs to stay active to track your shower in real time. If it still seems off after that, let us know below and include your device model and OS version.
